About me

My name is Elena Sabelnikova. I offer a warm and supportive counselling service in person and online for people experiencing bereavement, as well as for young people ( 18 - 25 y.o.) who may be finding life challenging or overwhelming. I am based in Brighton and Hove.

I believe everyone has the capacity to heal and grow, even when it feels out of reach. Life can leave us feeling stuck, disconnected from ourselves or overwhelmed, but growth often starts with small steps - expressing feelings, sitting with emotions, and showing up. These moments matter more than they may seem. They are part of a process that is deeply personal and unique to each individual.

I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. Alongside my private practice, I work at a local charity, supporting neurodivergent young people. I also volunteer at Cruse Bereavement Support helping those who suffered a loss, whether it's recent or from sometime ago.

I am committed to continual further learning and development of myself, and my practice. I have most recently completed trainings in:

  • Trauma-informed Creative Practice for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (12 month programme)

  • Helping Children and Young People manage Anxiety (1hr.33mins)

I am a registered member of the BACP (Reg. no. ) and work in accordance with its Ethical Framework.
